July, 2022, will see an increase in social insurance and state pensions for seniors, as proposed by the Ministry of Social Security and Emploment to help the elderly facing growing costs of food and energy resources. The social security pension will rise by 22 euros to 482 euros per month.
Pensions will be indexed beginning in June. The supplementary indexing will require an additional 53 million euros from the Social Security (“Sodra”) budget, and 52.4 million from the state budget. Alkas.lt
