Toronto Lithuanians had a unique opportunity to meet the famous basketball player both on screen and in person on March 4. The documentary “Jonas” by Martynas Starkus was screened at the Toronto Resurrection Parish for the first time in Canada.
The hall was full of fans who came to see the film, its hero, and its creator. The documentary showed the basketball star not only as a professional athlete, but also a family man, who reveals his thoughts about the definition of success.
After the screening, the audience enjoyed a Q & A session with Jonas and Martynas, and a photo opportunity with their special guests. For Jonas and his wife Eglė, Toronto is a familiar city from the years he played for the Raptors. His fans were thrilled to see him in Toronto again.
