Although the Church Heritage Museum in Vilnius has been closed due to COVID-19 since last year, its curators have been quite busy. Aside from a variety of films, downloads and educational programs available in Lithuanian and English on its website bpmuziejus.lt/en, the Museum is also offering a lecture series during the month of February.

The hour-long virtual lectures will cover the history, artistic elements and architecture of the Vilnius Cathedral (Feb. 11), Lithuanian at the University of Freiburg and their contributions to Lithuania (Feb. 16), the Vilnius Skyline – a panorama of steeples, representing 17 religious orders who built churches here (Feb. 18), From Noah to Teofilius – Saints and Biblical characters portrayed in Vilnius Cathedral (Feb. 23), and Treasures of Vilnius Cathedral, from F. Jogaila to A.J. Bačkis (Feb. 25). The lectures will take place for a fee of €6 each at https://www.zoom.us, at 6 p.m. local time. (With Vilnius being 7 hours ahead of Toronto, for example, the timing is manageable on this side of the Atlantic.)
