Let’s commemorate the 30th anniversary of Lithuanian-Canadian diplomatic relations. You can join in person or virtually in the planned events in Ottawa and Toronto. 

 

Friday Oct 1- At the event held at the National Gallery of Canada on October 1st, starting at 6:00pm, Josée Drouin-Brisebois from National Gallery of Canada will present her work curating the 13th edition of  Kaunas Biennial – one of the largest international contemporary art festivals in the Baltic region. We will also introduce you to the co-create festival of “Kaunas 2022 – European Capital of Culture” and present the live concert performance by renowned Lithuanian artists: tenor Rafailas Karpis and pianist Darius Mažintas. Saturday Oct 2-  At Toronto Anapilis Halls Lithuanian Museum-Archives of Canada will present aspecial exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of restored diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Canada. Distinguished members of Canadian-Lithuanian Community will be acknowledged for their activities three decades ago when Lithuania was regaining its independence. Lithuanian artists R. Karpis and D. Mažintas will present the musical program exclusively prepared for the occasion. Sunday Oct 3- At the Holly Blossom Temple in Toronto Lithuanian artists R. Karpis and D. Mažintas will perform the special program “A Letter from the Past: Yiddish Songs”.
