The Lithuanian Youth Association of Canada – KLJS is planning an exciting event on Saturday September 23. The annual general meeting (suvažiavimas) will take place at Resurrection Parish in Toronto, with a Eurobash in the evening.

In the morning, the AGM will welcome keynote speakers Ambassador of Lithuania Darius Skusevičius and Joris Meiklejohn, who will be speaking on the importance of youth advocacy and youth organizations. This is an amazing opportunity for youth and young adults between the ages of 16-35 to network with the Ambassador and learn about Joris’ experience living in Lithuania and serving in the military.

Also attending will be representatives from the World Lithuanian Youth Association and American Lithuanian Youth Association as well as friends from the Latvian, Estonian and Ukrainian Communities.

All youth aged 14+, including Ateitininkai, Toronto “Gintaras” Dance Ensemble, Maironis Lithuanian School advanced courses (kursai), and Scouts are invited to hear the keynote speeches in the morning.

Everyone interested in running for the board are asked to indicate their willingness to be candidates on the registration form and prepare a short speech to introduce themselves for the elections. Lunch will be provided. The dress code is business casual. Registration forms are available at: https://forms.gle/VLVq94HHYTcaJfdy5

Doors to the Eurobash open at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults ($5 for children). The whole Lithuanian community is invited to come for a night of dancing, singing led by Dana Biskienė, good food and laughter! There will be live music, a cash bar and Lithuanian food by chefs Emilija Gutauskaitė & Jokūbas Jonušonis. There will also be a showcase of KLJS history.

KLJS organizers ask everyone to help promote this event. Registration for Eurobash is provided at: https://forms.gle/VLVq94HHYTcaJfdy5. Follow them on:
