The Central Electoral Commission of Lithuania has opened registration for all Lithuanian citizens who wish to vote in the May 12, 2024, elections. The first 500 voters registered were from the United Kingdom, Germany and USA. A majority (85%) of them requested voting by mail.
All Lithuanian citizens, who will be visiting or living abroad next May, are invited to register for voting at www.rinkejopuslapis.lt. You will need to provide your name, surname, personal identity number and identity document code, your address and select to vote by mail or in person at an embassy, consular office or other designated location.
In the upcoming election, you will be voting for the President of Lithuania, as well as the Referendum for the Retention of Lithuanian Citizenship.
In Canada, the deadline for registration to vote by mail in the May election will be April 26, 2024.
