Celebration of Lithuanian Independence (Nepriklausomybės šventė) will be held on the 25th of February. Author-producer and world-famous Lithuanian rower Aurimas Valujavičius will present his documentary entitled “Oars over the Atlantic” (“Irklais per Atlantą”), to the public.
The film chronicles Aurimas’ journey across the Atlantic Ocean in a single-seat rowing boat, an adventure he embarked on to mark the 90th anniversary of the flight of Lithuanian pilots Darius and Girenas. In so doing, he became the first Lithuanian and the third person in the world to complete such a route. Definitely an event not to miss.
