Lithuanian Business in Kyiv Bombed

On March 21, the “Retroville” shopping centre managed by Lithuanian investment company BT Invest was shelled in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv. BT Invest also owns the retail chain Novus in Ukraine. The shopping centre was not destroyed during the shelling, the main damage was to the annex adjacent to the main building, which housed Novus offices, according to the company.

There was an explosion in the area of the shopping centre where there was a sports club. It is now completely destroyed, and the Novus office is badly damaged. The shopping centre itself will be able to function in the future.

Surveillance camera footage released by the Kyiv services showed a huge explosion at the shopping centre. This was followed by a series of smaller explosions. At least eight people were killed in the shelling of Retroville reported the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.
