Two Presentations in Ontario

Artist and musician Viktoras Paukštelis studied music at the MK Čiurlionis Art School and at the Music and Theatre Academy in Vilnius. His abiding interest in visual art took him to Paris, where he spent four years at the Cité internationale des arts and then obtained a Bachelor‘s degree from the Vilnius Art Academy. He has presented his art in eight solo exhibitions and various group shows in Lithuania and abroad.

The young pianist has performed in various Western European cities, and was well-received at Carnegie Hall in New York. Included in his repertoire are favourites Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Skriabin, Handel as well as other classical and contemporary composers.

This year, he will be at the Niagara Music Festival on August 14 at 4 pm, at St. Mark‘s Church, where he will present a program of music and visual art. He will be at the Lithuanian House in Toronto on Thursday, August 18 at 7 pm.
