The Lithuanian Castles and Manors Association (http://www.dvarai.lt/) has produced a new video about researchers dedicated to preserving the castles and manors of Old Lithuania, with scenes of these fascinating places. President of the association Gintaras Karosas tells viewers that knowing more about our roots and how our ancestors lived helps us find out who we are, to define ourselves, to understand where we came from. He invites everyone to sample the atmosphere of these manors, each unique in its own way.

The film, originally in Lithuanian (Lietuvos dvarai: raktas į praeitį), is also shown with English subtitles on YouTube – Lithuanian Manors – The Key to the Past. It reveals the energy and dedication of many Lithuanians helping to restore and attract visitors to these wonderful manors. They provide delightful new destinations for tourists in their own country and for visitors from abroad.

The project is financed by the European Regional Development Foundation.
