The “Aušra” Sports Club was established on February 16, 1955 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the Resurrection Parish. 2024 marks the 69th year of its ongoing activities in the Lithuanian Community. The Club will be celebrating the anniversary on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 with the Lithuanian Community at the Church of the Resurrection Parish Halls.
All are invited to attend the following events:
10:15 am – JK to grade 8 meet in the gym for a team building event with LEGO Graeme Dymond. Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. A photo of all coaches (past and present) will be taken after Mass. A Lithuanian lunch will be available for the cost of $12 cash, catered by Onute Rekus, mother of an Aušra SC player.
At 1:00 pm there will be table tennis exhibition games for all ages, and basketball drills and skills for grades 3-8 by coach Rimas Miečius. At 2:30 pm Aušra SC men will play against the Anapilis men’s team. Basketball games will be in the gym, with table tennis games in the foyer.
