The COVID-19 Pandemic that we are all living through has had a profound effect on us all, especially on our seniors living at Labdara.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Dirmantas-Groen in ’t Woud family for showing attention and demonstrating kindness and love to our elderly seniors living at Labdara Nursing Home.

We would like to thank the Resurrection Parish and all of the families who participated in writing lovely, heart-warming Christmas greetings as part of the parish’s greeting card collection. In addition, we thank the students at Our Lady of Sorrows; a local Catholic elementary school and the numerous non-Lithuanian speaking Kingsway neighbourhood families for their donations of jigsaw puzzles as well as an overwhelming amount of greeting cards.

A donated jigsaw puzzle – stimulating and good for the brain!

Vida and her daughters, Aleksa, Jacintha, and Tessa, in addition to writing greeting cards for each resident, made plenty of posters to cover our hallways showing gratitude for all of the staff who work so tirelessly in keeping our seniors safe and healthy. As a result of this wonderful initiative, we were able to hand out 4 Christmas greeting cards to each of our seniors.

We are very appreciative of the outpouring of love from our community in helping to make our seniors feel cherished.
