A Briefing on Ukraine

Many of us are concerned about Russia’s increased presence at the borders of Ukraine. On December 7, in a phone call with Russian President Putin, US President Joe Biden “voiced the deep concerns of the United States and our European Allies about Russia’s escalation of forces surrounding Ukraine and made clear that the U.S. and our Allies would respond with strong economic and other measures in the event of military escalation.”

On December 14, at 7 pm EST, join Dr. Alexander Lanoszka, Assistant Professor of International Relations at the University of Waterloo and Dr. Balkan Devlen, Senior Fellow, Macdonald Laurier Institute, who will provide expert analysis of Russia’s escalation of aggression against Ukraine, and discuss the steps Canada, our NATO allies, and Ukraine should take in response. Opening remarks will be made by UCC National President Alexandra Chyczij. A Question and Answer session with the audience will follow remarks.
