The next NATO Summit will take place in Vilnius on 11-12 July 2023, announced NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. “Defence of the eastern Allies is NATO’s top priority and the Summit in Vilnius demonstrates the invincible collective commitment to defend every inch of the Alliance,” said Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas.

“I am grateful to Lithuania for hosting our Summit. Lithuania is a vital NATO Ally. As host to a multinational battlegroup, Lithuania helps to provide strong deterrence and defence for the whole Alliance. I look forward to a successful Summit in Vilnius in July 2023,” stated NATO Secretary General.

The agenda of the Summit in Vilnius will focus on strengthening the NATO collective defence and deterrence and increasing assistance to Ukraine.   The Allies will discuss priorities and needs of defence investment aiming to retain NATO the strongest defensive Alliance. Finland and Sweden are expected to attend as full-fledged members of NATO for the first time in Vilnius as well.
